The 30 Day Landing Page Challenge

At ConvertKit, our main mission is to help creators like you earn a living online, and one of the many tools we believe can help you get started is a landing page. They’re a fast, simple, and beautiful way to promote your business.

That’s why we’re giving away a grand prize of $5,000, a free year of ConvertKit, and a year of coaching with one of our account managers to one creator who can setup a landing page that grows their list by over 100 subscribers in one month. (Plus more great prizes for anyone who doesn’t quite reach that level too!)

During this month-long challenge, we’ll be hosting five live trainings to help you with all the in’s and out’s of creating your landing page, launching, growing your list, and more in real time with actionable content.

So with that in mind, here’s how the challenge works:

Step One


Create a landing page with one of our templates, customize it to fit your needs, and hit publish.

Step Two


Share your landing page with the world and get as many subscribers as you can between April 1st and April 30th.

Step Three


18 prizes up for grabs based on the performance and creativity of your landing page.

There are 18 chances to win based on the amount of subscribers you gain during the challenge as well as the performance and creativity of your landing page. Who can enter the contest?

Everyone! Whether you’re a current customer, you use a different email marketing provider, you’re already on a ConvertKit trial, or even if you’ve used us before and have moved on, we’re here to celebrate all creators. That means we’re keeping this contest wide open for participants.

I’m currently on a ConvertKit trial. Can my time be extended so I can join the challenge?

Yes! Contact help@convertkit.com, mention the challenge, and we will extend your trial.

I’m not a ConvertKit customer. How can I join the challenge?

All you need to do is start a ConvertKit trial. Just sign up through the form on this page and you’ll be directed to our main challenge page to start a trial with us.

How many landing pages can I create?

You can create as many landing pages as you want. But the one that helps you gain the most subscribers will be the only one that qualifies in the 30 Day Challenge.

Can I qualify for multiple tiers?

No. You’ll only qualify for the highest subscriber tier you reach. That means if you hit 101 subscribers, you’ll only be eligible to win the 100 subscriber tier prizes.

If I make multiple landing pages, can all my subscribers be added up?

No. We will only pull the data for your landing page that had the most subscribers.

Can I use one of my existing landing pages for this challenge?

We want everyone to have an equal playing field with a fresh new landing page. That means no existing landing pages count. Plus we've got some new landing page designs that we're excited for you try out!

However we understand if you're anxious to start playing around with some templates before the challenge begins on April 1st. With that in mind, we'll accept landing pages that are created from March 21 on, but only subscribers collected from April 1st on count toward your goal.

Can I join mid-challenge?

Absolutely! You might have a slight disadvantage to all the other creators who started on April 1st, but that doesn’t mean you can’t catch up. Challenge accepted?

When does my ConvertKit trial start?

Your trial starts as soon as you sign up! Jump on into the app and start playing around with our 18 landing page templates. But remember, only subscribers gained after April 1st count toward your goal.

When does my ConvertKit trial end?

Anyone who is not currently a ConvertKit user will have a trial that will last the duration of the challenge.

What happens to my account at the end of my trial?

Once your trial ends, you will be rolled into a ConvertKit account and your credit card on file will be charged.

If at that point, you’re not ready or interested to continue using us for your email marketing, no further action is required. Your trial and account will both end at the same time.

How will ConvertKit pick the winner?

At the end of the challenge a judging panel from ConvertKit will choose the winner based on two criteria: Performance and Creativity.

For performance, the judging panel will look at the subscriber tier and conversion rates for your landing page.

For creativity, the judging panel will look at specifics like how clear your messaging is, the creativity of your incentives, the design of your landing page, and more.

What if I’ve never built a landing page or even tried email marketing?

Don’t worry! We’d never throw you into the deep end without a floatie.

During the challenge, we’ll be hosting exclusive live trainings (with replays if you can’t make it) on the step by step instructions you’ll need along the way. We’ll also provide some optional extracurricular reading from our blog, Tradecraft, and our own knowledgebase.

And if you’re really stuck on something, our amazing Customer Success team is just an email away.

Do my subscribers have to be new to my email list or just new to my landing page?

Your subscribers have to be completely new to your email list. After all, this is a challenge to grow your list. Current subscribers wouldn’t be helping you do that.
