<p>As creators, we’re used to doing things solo and siloed off from others. And while there are a lot of perks of working for yourself, sometimes the creator journey is a lonely one.</p>
<p>Collaborating with others has made a big difference for many creators, including our founder, Nathan Barry.</p>
<p>In 2012, Nathan found himself alone at a conference, introverted, and not sure who to talk to. He worked up the courage to speak with James Clear and Caleb Wojcik, who later became part of a creator mastermind. Nathan credits that event and those connections with his success, and he’s not the only one who does.</p>

<p>When you join the Creator Network, you&#8217;ll set up your Creator Profile, a page that highlights your work and what you offer to other creators. You can search for creators to connect with in our network’s directory, browse their profiles, and find creators you resonate with.</p>
<p>When you recommend other creators, they&#8217;ll be able to see your work and recommend you back to their audience. By recommending each other to your respective audiences, it can help both of you reach new followers and organically grow your email lists.</p>

<p>To join the Creator Network, all you need to do is sign up with your paid ConvertKit account. If you’re not already a ConvertKit user, start a <a href="https://convertkit.com/pricing" target="_blank" rel="noopener">free 14-day trial</a> and then opt-in to the Creator Network.</p>
<h3>2. Set up your Creator Profile</h3>
<p>Once you’ve signed up, create your profile in the Creator Network.</p>
<p>Your <a href="https://convertkit.com/resources/blog/creator-profile" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Creator Profile</a> is where you showcase your work through your newsletter public feed, add links to your ConvertKit Commerce products or link out to social platforms or other important external sites for potential subscribers to check out.</p>
<h3>3. Discover other creators</h3>
<p>Use the Creator Network’s search function to discover other creators and find who best complements your work. You can also browse through different categories, such as blogging, podcasting, or photography, to find creators working in your field.</p>

<p>The Creator Network allows you to recommend other creators to your audience. Recommendations include a short bio of the recommended creator, as well as a link to their Creator Profile.</p>
<p>When you recommend another creator, the recommendations modal pops up right after someone subscribes to your newsletter. So, when you grow your list, you’re helping others grow theirs too.</p>

<p>The setup process is simple: enable up to 5 slots to be seen on the recommendation modal. If you choose more than 5, they’ll rotate at random. You also have the flexibility to choose which forms or landing pages your recommendation modal appears on.</p>
