While you can go through all the recorded on-demand workshops and content at your own pace, here’s our recommended challenge timeline:

Week 1: Plan your landing page

Start here!We kick off this challenge by giving you an overview of everything you need—from mistakes to avoid to strategies you can implement—to create a high converting landing page. Take this week to settle in, do the research, and be clear about your purpose.

  • Research your people: Who is your ideal subscriber?
  • Test out your landing page messaging
  • Create the first draft of your landing page

Week 2: Create and share your landing page

With research under your belt, you can kick off the second week with confidence. Take the insights you have about your ideal customer and the messaging you plan to use to create your landing page on ConvertKit.

  • Choose a ConvertKit landing page template
  • Customize your landing page to fit your brand
  • Add an incentive (aka freebie or a lead magnet)
  • Share your landing page

Week 3: Iterate, iterate, iterate!

Now that you have a landing page live to help capture your audience’s emails, it’s important to keep monitoring and iterating how you can improve your conversions. This week we’ll be sharing 20 different list building strategies you can use to grow your email list.

  • Write down the strategies that best fit your work
  • Brainstorm other ways you can grow your list
  • Plan out which strategy you want to try out first

Week 4: Plan ahead

Now that you’re investing in building your email list, we also want to help you set up your future sales for success. One of the opportunities that comes with an email list is the ability to segment and pitch future paid products or services. But—the transition can often be awkward. This week we’ll coach you through setting up seamless segmentation.

  • Plan your email content and schedule

Who is eligible to participate in the challenge?

Everyone! Whether you’re a current customer, you use a different email marketing provider, you’re already on a ConvertKit trial, or even if you’ve used us before and have moved on, we’re here to celebrate all creators. That means we’re keeping this challenge wide open for participants.

Do I have to pay to register for the challenge?

No, the challenge is available to anyone to register! While you will need to create a ConvertKit account to access the challenge material, you will not need to pay for a ConvertKit account either to continue with the challenge content.

I’m currently on a ConvertKit trial. Can my time be extended so I can join the challenge?

You can participate in the challenge on any of our plans, including our free plan! If your trial expires and you aren’t ready to upgrade, you can still continue with the challenge.

I don’t have a ConvertKit account. How can I join the challenge?

By joining the challenge, you’ll be creating a ConvertKit account that comes with a 14-day free trial. You can join the challenge here.

I have a free/paid ConvertKit account. Can I still join the challenge?

Yes, please! Just make sure to use the same email address you used to create your ConvertKit account to join this challenge. That helps us with some behind-the-scenes housekeeping. To join the challenge, please use the challenge form.

How many landing pages can I create?

You can create as many landing pages as you want. All ConvertKit plans come with unlimited landing pages and forms, so you can create as many iterations as you want to test your messaging and design.

Are there cash bonuses in this challenge?

No. We’ve run challenges in the past that offer cash bonuses for hitting different milestones, but we are not offering that for this current challenge.

When does the challenge start/end?

The 30-day challenge will begin on the day you sign up! So, what are you waiting for?

When can I access my ConvertKit account?

As soon as you sign up! Jump on in and start playing around with your account. You’ll start receiving your challenge related content in your email shortly.

What if I’ve never built a landing page or even tried email marketing?

Don’t worry! We’d never throw you into the deep end without a floatie.

The challenge provides you with on-demand workshops for the step-by-step instructions you’ll need along the way. We’ll also provide extracurricular reading from our blog, Tradecraft, and our own Knowledge Base.
