ConvertKit in September: $24,699 in MRR, 374 customers

Each month I set ambitious goals for revenue growth. Today I have the sad news of announcing we missed our growth goal for September.


The goal was to hit $25,000 in monthly recurring revenue. And we just missed it at $24,699.

But I'm actually not frustrated or disappointed. To grow from $18,500 to $24,699 in a single month is fantastic! Talking with a friend last week after we barely missed our goal I said that I would never complain about only 30% monthly growth.

That's why I love ambitious goals. Even when you miss them the results are still awesome.

Customer growth was even better as we grew to 374 customers (up 43%).

Churn continues to fall as well. Our user churn is at 6.7% per month (a little high, but acceptable) and our revenue churn is at an excellent 3.6%.


It was a busy month, especially for integrations.

Gravity Forms integration

Now you can have your Gravity Forms add subscribers to your ConvertKit account. This works great if you use their opt-in forms in your site or want to subscribe anyone who takes a survey to your list.

WooCommerce integration

Next we launched an integration with WooCommerce (one of the most popular e-commerce tools on the web). Now you can easily tag your customers based on their purchases.

RSS digests

We also added the ability to auto-generate digest emails of your RSS feed. Customers like Pat Flynn and are using it to send a weekly digest of all their blog content.

Better subscriber exports

You could always export subscribers from a form, but now we added the ability to export subscribers from any segment or tag as well. This makes it much easier to back-up your list or perform any bulk actions.

Pat Flynn's demo video

Back in July Pat Flynn switched from Infusionsoft to ConvertKit. Ever since then he's been saying in Periscope streams and blog posts how much he loves the platform. But this last week he made it official with a fantastic demo video of his setup on ConvertKit. Here's the video:
